You have been inspired by the words and actions of a bardic companion! You now pursue the magic of song and talent in hopes of inspiring others.
You gain proficiency in one artist tool or musical instrument of your choice and a +1 to Charisma.
You learn two cantrips of your choice from the bard's spell list.
- In addition, choose one 1st-level spell from the bard's spell list. You learn that spell and can cast it at its lowest level. Once you cast it, you must finish a long rest before you can cast it again using this feat.
- Charisma is your spellcasting ability for these spells.
You can grant inspiration to another creature once per long rest. The inspiration dice starts at a d6. It becomes a d8 at 6th level. It becomes a d10 at 12th level. It no longer increases afterward. It requires a full action to inspire another creature.
By taking Bardic Basics, you are in essence taking a level as a Bard. Anything that would affect a 1st level Bard now affects you. Anything that would be affected by a 1st level Bard, is affected by you. You may not multiclass into a Bard after taking this feat.
