Prerequisite: Charisma 13 or higher
Your very presence is enough to inspire those around you. You gain the following benefits:
- You can take the Help action as a bonus action on each of your turns.
- You gain one bardic inspiration die, which is a d6 (this die is added to any bardic inspiration dice you have from another source).
- You can use a bonus action on your turn and choose one creature other than yourself within 60 feet of you who can hear you. That creature gains one Bardic Inspiration die. Once within the next 10 minutes, the creature can roll the die and add the number rolled to one ability check, attack roll, or saving throw it makes. The creature can wait until after it rolls the d20 before deciding to use the Bardic Inspiration die, but must decide before the DM says whether the roll succeeds or fails. Once the Bardic Inspiration die is rolled, it is lost. A creature can have only one Bardic Inspiration die at a time. You regain any expended uses when you finish a short or long rest.

Posted Apr 24, 2021I'm confused on how this works.
Are ALL of the bullets above tied to a short or long rest? Only the last two bullets so that Help is available at any time? Does my character get a bardic die once per rest AND they can give a bardic die once per rest?
Which parts are ALWAYS on and which parts are tied to the short or long rest?

Posted Apr 24, 2021The Help Action can be used as a Bonus Action rather than an action (always on).
You get 1 Bardic Inspiration Die (d6) that you can use (as a bonus action). You gain it back upon taking a short or long rest (so yes, once per rest).
If you are a bard, the Bardic Inspiration Die is added to your current stock.
