Your ties to the beast within further toughen your skin and strengthen your resolve. You gain the following benefits:

• While shifted, the bonus to your Armor Class increases to +2.
• If you are reduced to 0 hit points but not killed outright, you can shift as a reaction and drop to 1 hit point instead, provided you aren't already shifted and you still have the use of your shifting feature. When you do so, you still gain temporary hit points as normal for your shifting feature. Once you use this ability, you can’t do so again until you finish a long rest.
