Greater Familiar: Entity Morph-Hound Image
Prerequisite: Requires at least 12 Intelligence

You have either tamed or earned the trust of a powerful new ally: the Morph-Hound. These odd creatures are a rare example of otherworldly adaptation and upon forming a soul bond with another, they continue to adapt and pass along some of their properties to their new bonded ally.

Upon gaining this familiar, you are able to cast the Alter Self spell without expending its component costs or using a spell slot once per short rest. Your Morph-Hound has its own turn in the initiative and is always directly after your own, you can control your Morph-Hound on its turn as long as you are in 1 mile of it. In addition, if the Morph-Hound is killed or Destroyed it can be completely restored in a space within 5 feet of you. If you restore your familiar this way, you must sacrifice Hp equal to the Morph-Hound's challenge rating X 3 due to the strength of the familiar you are attempting to return (this damage cannot be reduced in any way).

Finally, while you and your Morph-Hound are both hidden from a target, one weapon attack made by you and one attack made by your Morph-Hound deal an additional 2d6 piercing damage as long as you attack the same target. Alternatively, you can gain this extra damage if you and your Morph-Hound both have advantage against the target. This extra damage can be applied once per round.

(This is a custom campaign specific creature and feat used in a homebrewed setting).
