When you cast any cantrip of your class using a heirloom symbolizing your blood lines power or a turquoise worth at least 500 gp as an additional non-consumed material component you add your classes spell casting ability score modifier to the damage it deals on a hit. If you cast cantrips this way you can not wield any weapons, but you may still use a shield.
