Greater Mark of Scribing

Your dragonmark increases in power, enhancing your talent for communication. You gain the following benefits:

• Increase your Intelligence or Charisma score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
• The die you add to ability checks using your Gifted Scribe trait changes to a d6.
• You learn the sending spell and can cast it once without expending a spell slot. You regain the ability to cast this spell in this way when you finish a short or long rest. Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for this spell.

Option: Siberys Mark of Scribing
At the DM’s option, a character who has the Greater Mark of Scribing feat has a chance of manifesting even greater power: a Siberys dragonmark. Upon reaching 13th level, such a character has a 10 percent chance of gaining the following benefit:

• You learn the symbol spell and can cast it once without expending a spell slot or material components. You regain the ability to cast it in this way when you finish a long rest. Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for this spell.

If the character fails to gain this benefit, they have a 10 percent chance the next time they gain a level.
