Archmage Apprentice

You have been granted an extraordinary opportunity to be mentored by an Archmage.  They deemed you worthy of passing on their knowledge of how their magic functions and helping you hone your own burgeoning magical abilities. As a student of an Archmage, you have a spellbook containing spells that demonstrate your aspiration to arcane power.

Spellbook

You create a spellbook containing the magical notes and scripts from your studies. Your spellbook is the repository of the spells you know, except your cantrips, which are fixed in your mind. See the "Your Spellbook" sidebar on page 114 in the PHB for further details.

Ritual Casting

You learn the ability to cast a wizard spell as a ritual if that spell has the ritual tag and you have the spell in your spellbook. You don’t need to have the spell prepared.

Magical Acumen

You learn two cantrips of your choice from the any spell list.

• In addition, choose one 1st-level spell from the any spell list. You learn that spell and can cast it at its lowest level. Once you cast it, you must finish a short or long rest before you can cast it again using this feat. Increase your Intelligence score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
• Intelligence is your spellcasting ability for these spells since the knowledge to do this comes from hard work and determination under the tutelage of your Archmage's guidance.
