You increase your Constitution or Wisdom score by 1.
When the chips are down, and everything looks bleak, you rise to the occasion and excel! The forces of the universe are seemingly on your side.
The harder a task is, and the less likely your chances to achieve that task, the better your chances of actually pulling it off! Once per short rest, you can re-roll an ability or skill check you just failed, but on the second roll the DC of the check is 15.

Posted Jan 15, 2019It's a little to weird and universe alternating sadly. I like the idea. But being able to "once per hour, change the difficulty of a DC to 15" is REALLY GOOD.
And it kinda ****s the DM too. I like the style of it. But I think that it is mostly covered by luck, and by the rogues "I can't roll below 9 so I never really need to roll **** you DM!"
Ability.

Posted Jan 29, 2019conceptually makes sense, but it almost begs the question, should you just take something else to make up for the lack of skill, like the skilled feat?

Posted Jul 17, 2024I like the idea, however once per short rest is kinda OP. I think perhaps it should also have a level requirement.

Posted Feb 25, 2026Imagine combining this with Eloquence bard's silver tongue, allowing you to basically be able to succeed any Persuasion or Deception check, no matter the dc, every short rest.
