You've learned to put the flexibility of a weapon to your advantage, both for offensive and defensive purposes. Your skill when holding a versatile weapon with two hands allows you to strike with unparalleled speed.  You gain the following benefits:

• When using a versatile weapon with two hands you gain +1 to AC.
• Before you make a two handed melee attack with a versatile weapon that you are proficient with, you can choose to take a -2 penalty to the attack roll. If the attack hits, you add +5 to the attack's damage.
