Because of an accident, or an attack from some creature, you are missing one of your hands and only have a stump remaining. Because of this, you suffer disadvantage on any athletic checks where climbing is involved. Though you can still use a shield, strapped to your arm, you obviously cannot use two weapons or any weapon that requires two hands to wield. Though you have learned to do without, you also suffer disadvantages that obviously arise from missing a hand.
FLAW. This is a flaw feat. At your DM's discretion, you may take this feat at level 1. If you do, you may also gain a second feat, or increase two of your ability scores by +1 (or one by +2). If you choose to increase any scores, you cannot choose to increase any score affected by the Flaw. Some flaws can be overcome in time, with role played work towards that end. Others might be overcome by a high-level Cleric, but the cost might involve a side quest or a great amount of money.
