Whether by choice or natural adaptation you have grown used to feasting upon raw meat, the fresher and bloodier the better, gaining the following benefits:
- Increase your Constitution score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
- You have advantage on saving throws taken against being Poisoned.
- You can consume the raw meat from any fresh body, which is any body that wasn't slain more than 24 hours ago, and wasn't a construct or undead. You can spend 15 minutes consuming enough food for yourself for one day. You can also butcher any excess food into Meat Rations, requiring a heavy blade (cleaver, axe, etc.), and 5 minutes of time per ration to be harvested. Consult the table below to see how much food a creature might yield in total.
- If a humanoid witnesses you consuming a fresh body, they will be disturbed. If the creature was a humanoid, or was still alive when you started, they will be horrified. Your DM will decide what their reaction will be.
Food Yield
The following is a sample number of rations that can be obtained easily from creatures by size. A creature may be capable of yielding more food if processed by a skilled butcher with more time and appropriate tools. Your DM should adjust the amount of rations if the creature was starving or sustained heavy damage, and may ask players to take a Constitution saving throw when consuming raw meat to avoid general disease (or food poisoning), especially if the creature itself was poisonous or badly diseased.
- Tiny: 1 Meat Ration.
- Small: 3 Meat Rations.
- Medium: 7 Meat Rations.
- Large: 15 Meat Rations.
- Huge: 25 Meat Rations.
- Gargantuan: 40 Meat Rations.
Meat Rations
A Meat Ration is equivalent to Rations (1 day), providing enough food for one Medium sized creature for one day, weighing 2lbs per ration. Meat Rations will begin to spoil after three days unless they are cured, salted or smoked to preserve them for longer. They can also be cooked to reduce or eliminate the risk of disease or poison.

Why would you make this?
Why would I not?
If someone wants to play a more bestial or even cannibalistic character this gives them a way to do so; it might also be suitable for a character that is afflicted by some lesser form of lycanthrophy or vampirism, or a character who simply has no qualms about what they eat, like a Kobold or a Minotaur depending upon background.
This is good. Thanks 🙏
