Improved Familiar

This feat allows an improvement to the result of the spell find familiar.

The spell caster's familiar is able to be summoned in any beast shape under up to CR 1/4. Once established, it remains in that form until the spell is recast or it is killed. The beast will be a celestial, fey, or fiend (your choice) instead of a beast, as per the spell. Familiars thus summoned may add the spell caster's spell modifier to their base hit points.

Further, the form can attack using the normal stats for the creature, but will have a higher than average intelligence (6 or 3 points higher than listed if above 3) and has the ability to speak a language known by the caster.

The familiar knows how to cast the cantrip prestidigitation at will and may use its skills or the cantrip to help its master in appropriate (GM determined) tasks.

Finally, the familiar may take over the concentration effort of any one spell from its master, substituting itself instead. Concentration is held as though the original spell caster is maintaining the spell.
