As a individual who loves challenging others, you want to show off your skills and prove superiority. Choosing another player as a rival, whenever they do a skill check, you can choose to roll that same skill check as a test of your skill against them. You can only have one rival per party and change rivals per short or long rest.
-If you and your rival are both proficient in that skill, both players gain advantage and the player who rolled the highest die roll keeps their higher die roll while the loser can choose to take their rival's lower die roll or their higher die roll.
-If your rival is proficient in a skill and you aren't, then your rival gets advantage while you get disadvantage. Being non-proficient, you can choose to shallow your pride and take your rival's lower die roll instead of your own and admit to them their superiority in that skill, for now.
-If you are proficient in a skill and your rival isn't, you show off your skills. However, if you fail the roll before your rival rolled, your rival gets advantage to humble you.
