Prerequisite: Sorcerer level 4
You have learned to conserve your magic to gain greater effect from its usage. When you take this feat you gain the following abilities:
- Square the Circle- When you gain this feat you learn how to cast area effect spells of different shapes than are normally associated with the spell. When you cast such a spell using this aspect of this feat the shape of the area of effect can be any other shape (cone, cube, cylinder, line or sphere,) of the maximum lesser volume or area that could be contained within the original area.
- Sorcerous Recovery- Once per day after a short rest you regain a number of Sorcery Points equal to your current Sorcery Points available.
- Point Strike- You gain a special bonus Metamagic (that does not count towards your known Metamagics) which is available only to Sorcerers with this feat. You have learned how to make your damage dealing area effect spells collapse back into their point of origin instead of expanding out from it, changing the spell to a Ranged Spell Attack if the spell has a range greater than touch, or a Melee Spell attack otherwise. If the spell normally would allow a saving throw, the Point Strike version of the spell does not, unless a critical hit is rolled on the attack. In such a case, a critical failure on the save renders the target Vulnerable to the damage of the spell. The Sorcery Point cost to cast a Point Strike is equal to the level of the slot used to cast the spell.
