Prerequisite: 5 levels of necromancer wizard 5 levels of necromancer

Reaching into the depths of the Shadowfell, you can summon an undead minion, or multiple minions, with a CR equal to your level. The minion can only be an undead which you have seen before. The casting time is the amount of hours equal to the total minion(s) CR. (Example: At Level 6, you are able to summon up to two CR 3 Mummies or one CR 6 Bodak.) Once created, the undead will be unbound and will begin combat with you. Only you and a chosen ally may be initiated in combat against it and start within 30 feet of where the ritual has been cast. If the undead defeats you in combat, the undead takes your soul and returns to the Shadowfell. If you defeat the undead in combat, it is bound to you and becomes your minion. The minion will become unbound once again if you summon more undead with this ability to replace it. The previous minion has a 25 percent chance of assisting the newly summoned undead rather than being expelled, but upon its defeat it will return to the Shadowlands. The ritual must be completed at night or the ritual is wasted. On each of your turns, you can use a bonus action to mentally command any creature you made with this ability if the creature is on the same plane of existence as you (if you control multiple creatures, you can command any or all of them at the same time, issuing the same command to each one). You decide what action the creature will take and where it will move during its next turn, or you can issue a general command. If you issue no commands, the creature only defends itself against hostile creatures. Once given an order, the creature continues to follow it until its task is complete.
