Prerequisite: Requires a Constitution score of 13 or higher.
You have trained and have gained brilliant resilience. This grants you the following abilities:
- Add 1 to your Constitution score, to a max of 20.
- When you drop to 0 health points, you will not be knocked unconscious until the end of your next turn, enabling you to take a full turn before being knocked out. On this turn, you gain advantage on all attack rolls, and crit on a 19 or a 20. Once you use this ability, you cannot use it again until you have completed a long rest.
- However, if you take any damage between these two turns, you must make a Concentration save to see if you maintain consciousness.
- You can add your Constitution modifier to any death saving throws you make.
- In addition, you are automatically stabilized if you roll a natural 18.
- Lastly, if you roll a natural 19 or 20, you are conscious at 1 HP.

Posted Sep 6, 2020I REALLY like this feat! An interesting way to incorporate some of the subclasses' abilities without completely taking being too much into their territory.
it just seems a tiny bit too OP. maybe going away with two of the death saving throw buffs would make it a bit more balanced?

Posted Oct 28, 2020Says "drop to 0 health points". Should be "hit point".

Posted Oct 30, 2020I feel adding your con modifier makes it too powerful, the uncommon item Amulet of health and you go from a 50/50 to a 70/30. Out side of that I like it

Posted Nov 12, 2020“and crit on a 19 or 20”
Shouldn’t that be “and your attacks score a critical hit on a roll of 19 or 20”?

Posted Dec 31, 2020Remove the con modifier bonus and auto stability at a 18 or 19, those are way too over powered. Also, you didn’t say what the save DC was for the con saving throw. I imagine it would work like a spellcaster’s concentration saving throw, but you didn’t say.

Posted Feb 18, 2021Very interesting! Perhaps a bit too good. I would say to make it recharge after 1d4-1 long rests or something but then it's a bit niche so idk.

Posted Feb 25, 2021I agree, but normally it's a 55/45 chance of success. (1-9 is a fail, 10-20 is a success, so 9 rolls are a fail and 11 rolls are a success.)

Posted Jun 19, 2022But saying "drop to 0 health points" is the right way to say it. 1 point is singular, literally everything else is plural.

Posted Aug 18, 2025It's overtuned, especially for a general feat. The prerequisite needs to be way higher (probably epic boon) since you can basically take this level 1 as a human since humans gain a bonus general feat and you only need 13 con which is super easy to get. The benefits you gain from this is basically relentless rage without rage for 1 turn, which temporarily gives you permanent reckless attack without the drawbacks and improved critical. Then you get superior critical on death saving throws and death saving throws becomes easier. Basically a feat which you can get at level 1 gives you a 1 turn level 11 barbarian feature + level 2 barbarian feature + level 3 fighter subclass feature, then you also get an adjusted level 15 fighter subclass feature for death saving throws, and this still doesn't include the ability score increase and modifier application on death saving throws. Like are you trying to get the dm to rage quit at early levels?
