Your bond to your patron is strengthened to a degree that other warlocks could only dream of. For the purposes of Pact Magic, Eldritch Invocations, Pact Boon, Mystic Arcanum, and Eldritch Master, you are considered a Warlock of two levels higher than your actual level. These 'bonus levels' do not increase your hit points, proficiency bonus, grant you increases to your ability scores, or otherwise effect any abilities that are unrelated to your use of magic.
In addition, you have advantage on all History and Religion checks made to remember information regarding the Great Old Ones.
However, your character is utterly, completely insane and out of touch with reality. At the beginning of your turn during combat, you must roll 1d20 on the following table to determine what your character does.
- 1-14: Your character behaves normally (can make attacks, move, take actions).
- 15-17: Your character stands in place and babbles incoherently (no action).
- 18-19: Your character is considered frightened and attempts to move as far away as possible from the most immediate and threatening source of danger.
- 20: Your character attacks the nearest creature (friend or foe).
You suffer disadvantage on Insight, Intimidation, Performance, Deception, and Persuasion checks, or any ability check made to understand or communicate with other sentient creatures. Your slippery mind also has difficulty focusing, and you also suffering disadvantage on Concentration checks made to maintain a spell.
Your Awakened Mind pact feature is replaced with the following feature:
Contagious Whispers: Starting at 1st level, the shattered fragments of your psyche begin to scrape and cut at the minds of those you come in contact with. Enemies within 15 ft suffer disadvantage on Wisdom Saving Throws made to resist your spells, with the exception of spells that charm, enthrall, or dominate the targets.
In addition, your Thought Shield ability is altered to read: Starting at 8th level, whenever a creature reads your thoughts, the creature takes 1d6 psychic damage per round that they maintain the spell, and they are stunned for one round after the spell ends. This effect does not trigger if you willingly allow a creature into your thoughts. You also have resistance to psychic damage, and whenever a creature deals psychic damage to you, that creature takes the same amount of damage that you do.
