Your head and body are no longer connected, but that doesn't slow you down. They remain independently functional and are able to survive and operate normally even when not in contact with one another.
Your body of course has no senses of its own, but can miraculously understand speech and follow directions. Your head provides all the benefits of a spellcasting focus.
