A mind made for creating and breaking codes, you see patterns and rhythms in chaos. In a world where hidden languages are easily broken by a magic spell, real secrets are carefully concealed in plain sight using advanced code techniques. 

• You gain Advantage on Investigation checks related to identifying a written language or breaking a code.
• You can make an [ability]Intelligence[/ability] check base DC 20 adjusted up or down based on the familiarity with the written language (e.g. PC only speaks common but lives in a society where elvish is used just as much, then the DC would be adjusted down -5 to 15. Same PC encountered a written language that hasn't be used in a thousand years that hasn't been used on this plane of existence ever, DC is adjusted up +10 to 30).
  
  • A success means understanding the gist of the document being analyzed. 
  • Repeated Success: Additional attempts can be made to decode and understand the document and each additional success made at an incrementally higher DC (+1 usually) gains additional information. A failure means no further attempts to decode can be made.
• Creating encrypted communication is done in a similar way, but a successful Investigation check is made against the DC the PC wants the code to be set at. So if the PC wants the code to be DC 20 to break, then the DC to make the code is also 20.
