Doppelganger Heritage

You have embraced the rumors and prejudices that surround those of your kind, , bringing you further in tune with your doppelganger heritage, and allowing you to better mimic the races whose skin you put on. You gain the following benefits:

• Your eyes have developed the ability to see in the dark, having spent much time masquerading as those who can. You can see in dim light within 60 feet of you as if it were bright light, and in darkness as if it were dim light. You can’t discern color in darkness, only shades of grey.
• You can, through a painful, lengthy process, shift your internal biology an much the same manner as you shift the external. When you use your Change Appearance feature, you can instead take an hour to better match the biology of your chosen form. Choose one physiological feature of your chosen form, such as an Orc's Powerful Build, or a Triton's Amphibious, but not a cultural feature, such as a Halfling's Brave or any additional languages; you gain that racial trait while you remain in the appropriate form. The DM has the final say on whether or not a racial trait is appropriate. After you use Change Appearance in this way, you can’t use it again until you complete a long rest.
