You've trained extensively with whips, and gain the following benefits:
- When you land an attack with a whip, you may perform one of the following:
- Grab the target's weapon with the whip and pull it towards you with a successful contested Strength check. You may catch it (if you have a hand free to do so), throw it to another location on the opposite side of you from the initial target, or let it land at your feet.
- Catch the target by a limb, and with a successful contested strength check pull them prone. If successful, the target is grappled and you can use your bonus action to perform a contested strength check to pull the target toward you. You cannot pull a creature more than one size category larger than yourself.
- When attacking with a whip, you score a critical hit when you roll a 19 or 20. Upon scoring a critical hit, you may make an extra whip attack, either against the original target or a different one.
- When wielding a whip, you can use your reaction to make an opportunity attack the first time an enemy moves after starting their turn in your threat range. When you make an opportunity attack with a whip, attack twice.
- Your range with a whip is 15ft.
- While wielding a whip, you may use your reaction to attempt to knock a projectile out of the air before it strikes its target, provided the projectile path crosses your area of reach with the whip.
