As an action (or over a 10 minute period), take on the form of a beast. When the player first transforms into the Beast, they choose which type of beast their bipedal form mimics (Canine, Ursine, Feline, Avian, Reptilian, etc). This form is final after the first transformation.
Everything from this feat is only active while in your Beast form unless specified.
AC: 10+DEX/CON+WIS HP: Mirrors players HP Speed: 40ft Size: You grow one size larger than your current race in your Beast form Language: Mirrors players languages.
Vulnerable: Silver, Radiant
Immune: Disease (Both forms).
Resistant: Poison, Bludgeoning, Piercing, Slashing from non-magical, non-silvered weapons. Advantage on saving throws against being poisoned.
Keen hearing and smell: The Lycan has advantage on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on hearing or smell (Both forms).
Versatile Physique: Anytime you make a Strength/Dexterity saving throw, you may use either stat for the roll (Strength saving stat for a Dexterity saving check or vice versa).
Feral Fortitude: When you transform into your Beast form you gain an additional 4 points to your constitution score that last so long as you remain in that form. Your DM may or may not let this bonus exceed your maximum.
Metamorphosis: As an action, transform into a Lycan or back into your true form. Any equipment you are wearing or carrying is absorbed, removing all effects and your AC becomes 12+DEX/CON+WIS. You revert to your true form, unconscious, if reduced to 0HP. Once this feature has been used, it cannot be used again until after a long rest (can be cast as a ritual).
Multi Attack: The Lycan makes two attacks as an action using its Claw attack and must then use a bonus action to Bite. This benefits from any innate multiattack feature from their class (If a Fighter has 4 attacks per action, they can attack 4 times with their claws. If a Sorcerer has 1 attack per action, they can attack twice with their claws).
Thrill of the hunt: If a creature tries to flee from you and provides you with an attack of opportunity. Roll an attack. Instead of dealing damage you may choose to leap on top of them accompanying their space, knocking them prone, and grappling them underneath you. You may only use this feature on a creature the same size or smaller than you.
Claw: STR/DEX + PRO to hit, 1D (4,6,8,10,12) +DEX/STR slashing per successful Claw attack. Upgrades to 1D6 at level 9, 1D8 at level 13, and 1D10 at level 17. If you use the dash action you may attack once with your claws as a bonus action.
Bite: STR/DEX + PRO to hit, 1d8+DEX/STR Piercing. If the target is a humanoid, it must succeed on a DC 12 Constitution saving throw or be cursed with Lycanthropy. On a success they are immune the the disease for 24 hours.
Bloodcry: As an Action, you let out a roar that shakes the resolve of the creatures around you. Any creature within 30 feet of you that can hear you must succeed on a Wisdom saving throw (DC: 8+PRO+CON) or become Frightened of you. Frightened creatures can not move closer to you, and have disadvantage on attacks against you. Creatures that succeed the saving throw are invigorated by the thrill of the hunt and are more likely to attack you, gaining advantage on their first attack. Friendly creatures who have heard this roar before are immune to its effects.
Bloodlust: After you successfully hit with Bite as many times as half your level rounded up, roll a wisdom saving throw (DC:10). Add 1 to the DC for every successful bite past your maximum. On a failure, the beast within takes over and the next creature killed by the lycan has its heart consumed. The DM will have to decide if the creature has anything resembling a heart or if it is edible. The Lycan heals for 1D4 (for every two levels) and consumes the creatures heart, killing it instantly. The lycan must use the multiattack action to attack the next nearest creature until calmed outside of combat or knocked unconscious. All Bloodlust stacks are reset to 0 after reverting back to your true form. You may choose to let the beast within take control when you use your initial action to transform. While you still have control of your own mind you might struggle to bring yourself to consume a creatures heart (the DM can alter this rule as they see fit).
Stages of Lycanthropy: This does not affect characters who have already transformed for the first time.
- Day one (The day of infection). The wound is itchy, like a mosquito bite. That is all.
- Day two. The bite is no longer itchy and is going through the first stage of regeneration.
- Day three. Hot flashes. No matter how hard you try to cool off, your body is perpetually dampened with sweat. Trying to fall asleep naturally is impossible.
- Day four. +1 level of Exhaustion. The wound is no longer scabby but still shows the fresh new skin. The sweating is all consuming but taking deep breaths and breathing in the cool air helps a little bit.
- Day five. +2 levels of Exhaustion. The infected individual is in a constant state of fight or flight. Every sound sets them off and everything smells either impossibly good, or literally the worst thing they have ever smelled. Still sweating like crazy. The bite is nothing more than a scar.
- Day six. +2 Levels of Exhaustion. Every joint in your body feels like it has been set on fire, ground down in a mortar and pestle, molded into a clay, and stretched like bread dough. Now you have to find a way to scratch your nose without any bones.
- Day seven. The pain has become bearable and you can finally scratch your nose. Last night was the best night of sleep you have ever had. At midnight, you turn into a werewolf and lose your mind until you or your party can find a way to calm you. You are now a Lycanthrope and can only be returned with a Wish spell.
While using Beast Form, you can still benefit from some of your class abilities (no racial abilities). It will be up to your DM to decide which are acceptable. It will be up to the player to keep track of which ones the DM accepts. All spellcasting abilities will be lost while shifted into your Beast Form.
(Some NPC’s will find your curse unsettling and may even try to defend themselves in manic, idiotic ways. Be careful who you reveal this form too. Who knows how people will react…)
