Prerequisite: Dhamphir, Fetchling, Elf (Shadar-kai), or a Nyxborn
You are an expert in the withering energies that drain life from your foes, and have learned to apply them to your weapons like a sickly poison.
- Increase your Strength, Dexterity, or Constitution by 1, to a maximum of 20
- Choose 1 nonmagical weapon. That weapon's damage die becomes necrotic, and overcomes resistances to nonmagical weapons. If you lose this weapon, you can create another one after an hour long ritual with another nonmagical weapon of your choice. You can only have one of these enhanced weapons at a time.
- On a successful strike with this weapon or any other weapon that deals necrotic damage, you can expend a hit die to lower your struck targets current and maximum hit points by a roll of that hit die. Once you expend a hit die this way, you can't do so again until you finish a long rest.
- When you score a critical hit with a weapon that deals necrotic damage against a creature, you can roll one additional damage die and take the result as temporary hit points.
