
Prerequisite: Requires the ability to cast at least one spell and a Constitution score of 13 or higher.
You’ve learned hidden secrets to infusing your magic with your own life force, sacrificing your own vitality to empower your spells. You gain a Hemocraft die, which is a d6. Whenever you cast a spell which targets a hostile creature, you may expend a hit die to empower that spell. You suffer necrotic damage equivalent to a roll of that hit die; this damage cannot be resisted or reduced in any way. When you do so, you may roll your Hemocraft die and empower your spell in one of the three following ways.
- Your spell deals extra necrotic damage to the target creature equal to twice the Hemocraft die's roll.
- You add the Hemocraft die's roll to your spell attack roll.
- You subtract the Hemocraft die's roll from the saving throw one creature makes against your spell.
If you have any Hemocraft dice from another source, use the largest of those dice when rolling a Hemocraft die for this feature.
