Prerequisite: Requires the book Warrior of Heaven, by Ajax Bradshaw

Though he was a clever tactician, the number of LaFainland cavalry proved too great to meet directly. Through devoted prayer, Bernadine devised a plan to employ guerilla tactics among the Esherspire, where LaFainland troops attempted to secure the Greenwolf Road that ran alongside the Pale River. Though they had a tight grip on the forest, Bernadine was ultimately more familiar with the Esherspire.

-Ajax Bradshaw, "Warrior of Heaven"

You gain the Favored Terrain feature for one of the following: forest, jungle, or swamp. Within your Favored Terrain, you gain advantage on any attacks on unaware targets, with the Surprise Attack gaining +5 to the attack and damage roll.

While traveling for an hour or more in your favored terrain, you gain the following benefits:

  • Difficult terrain doesn't slow your group's travel.
  • Your group can't become lost except by magical means.
  • Even when you are engaged in another activity while traveling (such as foraging, navigating, or tracking), you remain alert to danger.
  • If you are traveling alone, you can move steathily at a normal pace.
  • When you forage, you find twice as much food as you normally would.
  • While tracking other creatures, you also learn their exact number, their sizes, and how long ago they passed through the area.
