Feat requirement: Warlock, level 4
Your lust for eldritch knowledge knows no bounds. You've gained the ability to sacrifice your own vitality in exchange for more eldritch power. Roll up to Xd8s, where X is your Charisma modifier (minimum 1). You lose that total number of hit points and your hit point maximum is reduced by that same number while this ability is active. This reduction to your hit points and to your hit point maximum cannot be negated. You cannot increase your hit point maximum while this ability is active through any means. Nor can you gain temporary hit points while this ability is active. If you are already under the effect that gives you temporary hit points or increases your maximum hit points, you lose those benefits immediately. You may still benefit from healing spells, potions, and hit dice as per normal.
You choose X eldritch invocations and you know them for the duration of this ability. You must meet all requirements of the invocations.
This ability lasts until your next long rest. You cannot use this ability more than once per long rest.

Posted Oct 7, 2020I am unsure if this will scale well. I was thinking about adding something to the hit points lost, like X times your proficiency modifier.
Another idea I had to make the cost of using this impactful, is to also subtract X amount of ability score points from any combination of ability scores of your choice.
Basically I really like Eldritch Invocations and would like more of them and I do want to attempt to balance it. Any suggestions are welcome!
