You are able to use your life force to power arcane spells, enabling you to cast more spells per day in exchange for sapping your physical form.
Benefit: You may cast extra spells by causing damage to your own hit points. These must be spells that you have prepared or know, depending upon how you cast your spells. When using this ability, the spell is cast normally; this includes casting time, concentration checks, saving throws, and opportunity attacks. If the casting is successful, the caster takes 5 points of damage per level of the spell cast, including any modifiers for metamagic or utilizing higher level spell slots. Casting in this way does not consume a spell slot. If the loss of hit points renders the caster unconscious, the spell is cast and the caster immediately loses consciousness. If the caster is killed by the loss of hit points from casting in this manner, the spell is cast and the caster is killed immediately afterwards. A spellcaster dying in this manner can only be returned to life with a Resurrection or True Resurrection spell. Damage taken from using this feat does not heal naturally and is not regained upon completing a Long Rest (unless hit dice or healing adjuncts are expended).
