Whip Master Image

You have mastered the whip and can use it in ways others cannot. You gain the following benefits as a result of your training and experience:

  • You gain proficiency in whips if you are not already proficient and they are now considered light weapons in your hands. 
  • While you are wielding a whip, other creatures provoke an opportunity attack from you when they enter your reach.
  • As an action you can use the whip to pull objects within reach that aren’t worn or carried 10ft towards you with a successful Dexterity (Sleight of Hand) check.

Once per turn when you hit a creature that is no more than one size larger than you with a whip, you may forgo damage and the creature makes a save DC = 8 + your proficiency bonus + your Strength or Dexterity modifier (your choice), you choose one of the following to happen:

Slashing Disarm.  You may attempt to disarm your opponent. If the target is Large or smaller, it must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, a weapon or object of your choice the creature is holding is pulled into your space or a space within 5 feet of you. If the weapon or object is held in two or more hands, the creature makes the save with advantage.

Lashing Trip.  You may attempt to trip your opponent. If the target is Large or smaller, it must make a Strength saving throw. On a failed save, you knock the target prone and may move it 5 feet in your direction.
