Where other adventurers only use items that they gain from vendors or artisans, you have learned how to use the materials around you to craft your own items. You gain the following features:

  • You gain proficiency with tinker’s tools. If you are already proficient with them, you add double your proficiency bonus to checks you make with them.
  • As an action, you can create your own items, provided you have the necessary materials (determined by DM), and tinker’s tools. You can only create up to three item per turn. You can only produce simple weapons, shields, darts, blowgun needles, crossbow bolts, or arrows. These items follow the Improvised items rules (mentioned below).

Improvised Items Additional Rules:

  • An item created via the Improvisor feat can only be used a select number of times before it breaks. A simple weapon's durability is based off of their damage die (ex: a club that deal 1d4 damage can be used 4 times, while a mace which deals 1d6 damage can be used 6 times), a shield can be used twice, and ammunition can only be used once.
