Dense Scales Image

Your form has been shaped and coated in an aspect of your mask. Roughly a third of your scales appear more dull and slightly loose, as though you were wearing the scales of another. You frequently molt and quickly regrow this hardened layer, occasionally revealing gaunt, skeletal flesh beneath.

As a reaction when you take damage, you can harden your worn skin, which sheds away at the end of your next turn. You gain 15 temporary hit points times your con mod, which take as much of the triggering damage as possible. Immediately after you take the damage, you are petrified. This condition, including any remaining temporary hit points, end when the skin is shed. Once you use this reaction, you can’t use it again until you finish a short or long rest.
