Unarmed Fighting Image
Prerequisite: Strength 13 or higher

You've learned how to hold your own in combat without the use of weapons. When taking this feat, you gain the following benefits:

  • Your unarmed strikes deal 1d6 + your Strength modifier.
  • When you successfully start a grapple, you can deal 1d4 bludgeoning damage to the grappled creature. Until the grapple ends, you can also deal this extra damage to the creature whenever you hit with a melee attack.
  • While attacking a creature you have grappled while you are holding no weapons or shields, you can replace the additional 1d4 bludgeoning damage to force a Strength saving throw against the creature equal to 8 + proficiency bonus + your Strength modifier. If the creature fails, it drops any weapon it is holding. You can only do this once per turn.
