You may choose a singular named trait from a different playable race to add to your character, as well as a language available to that race. The DM may veto any particular race or trait, however. Examples:
Tiefling: fire resistance, infernal legacy, legacy of stygia, etc.
Aasimar: healing hands, radiant soul, necrotic shroud.
Genasi: earth walk, reach to the blaze, amphibious.
Hobgoblin: darkvision, martial training, saving face.
