You were born a half-blood vampire, known as a Dhampyr, or you were turned into a vampire through ritual. You gain the following properties:

Ageless. You don’t age, and effects that would cause you to age don’t work on you.

Superior Darkvision. Your darkvision has a radius of 120 feet.

Sunlight Sensitivity. You have disadvantage on attack rolls and on Wisdom (Perception) checks that rely on sight when you, the target of your attack, or whatever you are trying to perceive is in direct sunlight.

Revenance. You retain your creature type, yet you register as undead to spells and other effects that detect the presence of the undead creature type.

You also are in constant battle with the underlying Hunger that Vampirism bestows:

  • You gain one Hunger Point whenever you finish a long rest without drinking a creature's blood.
  • You lose all accumulated Hunger Points when you consume the blood of a creature that is living or has been dead no longer than 24 hours.
  • If you accumulated 3 Hunger Points, you have a chance to turn into a creature of pure instinct, hunger, and madness. The nature of this transformation is left to the DM's discretion and the effects may vary, though you may suffer effects of ConfusionShort-Term MadnessLong-Term Madness, or Indefinite Madness based on how long it has been since you last fed.

When you drink the blood of a creature that is living or has been dead no longer than 24 hours, you have a chance to gain properties based on the blood consumed. These boons and detriments are left up to the DM's discretion to decide based on the nature of the blood of the creature consumed. The blood of mundane beasts like livestock give no boon or detriment.

(Examples of bonuses are things like temporary Magical Resistance when consuming a Unicorn's blood,  or a temporary +2 buff to Constitution when consuming a Duergar's blood.)
