While most practitioners of the arcane prefer giving a wide birth to the fray, you thrive in it. Your training incorporated the use of destructive magic at close quarters, granting you the following benefits:
- Being within 5 feet of a hostile creature doesn’t impose disadvantage on your ranged spell attack rolls.
- When you use the Attack action and attack with a one-handed weapon, you can use a bonus action to cast a cantrip that requires an attack roll.
- You learn one cantrip suited for close-quarters combat. Choose from the following list: Blade Ward, Booming Blade, Green-Flame Blade, Lightning Lure, Primal Savagery, Shocking Grasp, Sword Burst, Thorn Whip, Thunderclap, True Strike, or Word of Radiance. Use the spellcasting modifier of your class for this cantrip, which is considered a class-appropriate cantrip for you, and does not count against the number of cantrips you know.
"I need to be an expert at using crossbows to not miss a Firebolt at point-blank range? Where is the sense in that?" -- A confused wizard.

Posted Jul 29, 2023My guy, we don't talk about true strike. It's a made up cantrip that everyone who has ever played D&D agrees does not exist.
Other than that, it's nice to see support for the sword and sorcery play style.

Posted Apr 18, 2024What's true strike?
In all seriousness, you're right; true strike does suck. Back when I made this feat, I included true strike in the unlikely event that WotC would fix it at some point.
Thank you for your kind comment.
