Focused Rage Image

Sometimes, individuals who possess the power of the arcane must follow the path of rage, or vice versa. Through diligent study and practice, they have learned how to focus their spells even while raging. This feat grants the following benefits:

  • While Raging, you may take you action to cast a spell that you have prepared. In order to cast this spell, you must succeed on a saving throw using your Spellcasting Ability for each spell. The DC for this saving throw is equal to 10 + the level of the spell you are attempting to cast (cantrips DC 10). If you fail this saving throw, it does NOT cost your action, but you are unable to cast any spells on this turn. Spells that require an attack roll count for the purpose of maintaining your rage, but spells that require a saving throw do not.
  • If you cast a spell that requires concentration using the benefit above, you must maintain your concentration on your turn as well as when you take damage. At the start of your turn, you must make a saving throw using your Spellcasting Ability. This saving throw does not benefit from the Warcaster Feat as it is not a pure Concentration Check. The DC for this saving throw is equal to 8 + the number of rounds you have been raging. However, any spell that you were concentrating on when you first enter your rage automatically ends, no save required.

This feat overrides the statement within the Barbarian description of Rage where it says "If you are able to cast spells, you can’t cast them or concentrate on them while raging." Do to this fact, check with your DM first before selecting this feat.
