Boon of Options
"In a world of infinite possibilities, you follow not one path—but many."
🌟 Split-Path Mastery
Whenever you gain a class or racial feature that allows you to choose from multiple options, you may select one additional choice from that same feature. This applies to:
-
Class features like Fighting Style, Metamagic, Eldritch Invocations, Maneuvers, Infusions, Favored Enemies, etc.
-
Racial features with multiple legacy or ancestry choices (e.g., Eladrin seasons, Dragonborn ancestry, Genasi elements).
-
Background options if they grant a singular feature (e.g., a bonus spell or language).
-
Subclass selections (see below).
🧩 Dual Archetype Mastery (Subclass Expansion)
You may select a second subclass for one of your classes. Both subclasses are considered active at the same time.
-
You gain the features of both subclasses at the levels they would normally be granted.
-
If the two subclasses offer conflicting features (such as different fighting styles or spell lists), you must choose one version of overlapping mechanics. However, unique features (like Channel Divinity options, Ki Techniques, or Blood Curses) stack.
-
You cannot choose a subclass that grants you an identical feature twice (e.g., Unarmored Defense from both Monk and Barbarian).
-
This does not let you multiclass into multiple versions of the same class—it only applies within one class.
Example:
A level 6 Sorcerer could be both a Divine Soul and Shadow Sorcerer, gaining both spell lists and features. If both grant different features at level 6, they receive both unless they directly contradict.
🧠 System Synergy (Optional Expansion):
If you have System, Helper, or Boon of True Learning, this boon unlocks advanced feature synthesis:
-
Subclass Fusion: Over time, your dual subclasses may fuse, granting powerful hybrid abilities, such as:
-
Way of Mercy + Way of Shadow → Way of the Pale Mask (stealth-based healing assassin)
-
Hexblade + Genie → Lord of the Black Lamp
