Friend of the wild allows you to have an animal companion with out being beast master of wild shape.
You are able to acquire an animal companion capable of being trained, which improves as long as you travel together.
Choose one beast of Challenge 1 or lower. The animal companion adds a number of extra hit die to its health equal to one half you level and adds half of your proficiency bonus to its attack rolls, damage rolls, armor class and saving throws. These numbers change as you level and proficiency bonus increases. The selection of animal companions is reliant on DM approval.
Should not be powered to any level of beast master with exception if DM allows it only.
