When fighting with two weapons you've learned to quickly strike with your second weapon, also when fighting with thrown weapons you've learned to draw your next thrown weapon as quickly as an archer draws ammunition. You gain the following benefits:
- When you are fighting with a weapon in each hand that qualify for two-weapon fighting and you hit with your main hand weapon you may make an immediate follow up attack at the same target with your off hand weapon with a -2 attack roll penalty. If this follow up attack hits it does half damage. You can follow up any of your attacks with your main hand whether they are granted by your normal Attack Action, Extra Attack(s), Attack of Opportunity, magic that causes an melee weapon attack ( e.g. Booming Blade), or similar effect or ability.
- When fighting with a weapon with the thrown property, immediately after throwing the weapon you can draw another weapon with the thrown property to the same hand.
Notes:
All damage from the follow up attack is halved. So if you use divine smite or have magical weapon that deals xdx magic damage understand that it is also halved.
You may add your modifier to your follow up attack only if you took the two weapon fighting fighting style, but remember all damage is halved.
You may still use your bonus action to do anything you are allowed including attack with two weapon fighting. Follow up does not change or interfere with these rule.
You can only use follow up attack with thrown weapons if they qualify for two-weapon fighting.
