Cartographer

Your knowledge of terrain and ability to accurately record it grants you the following benefits:

• Increase your Intelligence or Wisdom score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
• You gain proficiency with Cartographer’s Tools if you don’t already have it.
• With access to cartographer's tools, or an accurate map of this region, you cannot be lost except by magical means. You always know which way is true north. If you are given the option of two or more paths to follow to reach a destination, you can accurately pick the safer or faster option given any knowledge that could be gleamed from a map (DM discretion).
• Knowledge of the terrain can help even the wisest survivalists prepare for a journey. When acquiring gear dice in a region which you have a detailed, local map, count each new gear dice as one size larger.
