Thirst Of The Tree Child Image

Your body is changing into a strange plant hybrid that thrives off of the blood of living creatures.

  • You gain 1 hit dice, plus CON modifier by drinking the blood of a willing or unwilling victim, alive or freshly dead. You may take this action once per day. You can use this ability on the following creature types:
    • Humanoid, Fiend, Beast, Fey, Dragon, Giant, Monstrosity
  • After every use of this ability, the condition intensifies.
    1. Your fingers have begun to grow a hard exoskeleton.
    2. The growth extends up to your elbows. Every day you go without drinking blood leaves you with a level of exhaustion. You gain resistance to slashing damage, but weakness to fire.
    3. The growth extends to your shoulders. If you go one day without drinking blood, you must save on a DC 8 Wisdom saving throw for each creature you come across, once a day per creature, or else involuntarily make a melee attack. You may save again on your next turn. This DC goes up by 4 for each day you go without blood.
    4. Your arms have adapted to become natural weapons, and can be used to make melee weapon attack.
      • Your unarmed strikes deal 1d6 slashing damage.
      • When you use the Attack action with an unarmed strike, you can make one unarmed strike as a bonus action.
    5. The growth extends to your neck and torso. You can cast Entangle as a once-a-day action.
    6. The growth has begun to grow up the sides of your face. You can cast Speak with Plants as a one-a-day action.
    7. Your eyes take on a red tint. Your unarmed strike's damage increases to 1d8.
  • This condition is technically a curse, and can be removed.
