You carefully watch any target you land a hit on learning about its movements and armor. With each blow, you learn more and more how to penetrate its defenses and inflict better damage.
Each time you successfully hit the same target, your damage dice have a minimum value equal to the number of times you have successfully hit the same target, up to the maximum each die can go. If you attack any other target, or more than a minute has passed without a successful hit, the effect is reset.
Example: A rogue with a 1d4 dagger and 2d6 sneak dice hits a single target for the fifth time. He rolls a 2 on the 1d4 and a 3 and 6 on the 2d6. The1d4 does the maximum of 4. The 3 instead counts as a 5 (as this is the 5th successful hit) and the 6 is unaffected. This would turn the 11 damage into 14.
