
The whip is an unconventional weapon, but you have learned to utilize it's unique properties to great advantage. You gain the following benefits:
- You become proficient with the whip if you are not already.
- When you use a whip, its damage die changes from a d4 to a d6.
- Creatures provoke opportunity attacks from you when they enter your reach.
- When you take the Attack action on your turn and one of your attacks with a whip hits a creature you can immediately use a bonus action to attempt to trip that creature.
- Trip: Make an attack roll contested by the target’s Strength (Athletics) or Dexterity (Acrobatics) check. If you win the contest, the target suffers no additional damage, but is knocked prone.
