Thanks to your experience casting spells in combat, you've learned a ritual which can transform a weapon or shield of your choosing into a spellcasting focus and bind it your person. You perform the ritual over the course of 1 hour, which can be done during a short rest. The weapon or shield must be within reach throughout the ritual, at the conclusion of which you touch the object, turning it into a spellcasting focus for your spells, and binding it to you. You can only bind yourself to one weapon or shield at any given time.
You can increase your Dexterity, Intelligence, Wisdom or Charisma by 1, to a maximum of 20, and while you are wielding the bound weapon or shield, you gain the following benefits:
- You have advantage on Constitution saving throws that you make to maintain your concentration on a spell when you take damage.
- You can perform the somatic components of spells even when you have weapons or a shield in one or both hands.
- Being within 5 feet of a hostile creature no longer imposes disadvantage when casting a ranged spell.
