"Halfway between the black and gray, Is no place for a life to waste away. I'll take the road with all the stakes"

- Starlight Paladin Creed

• Starlight Smite
• Star Shard Weapon
• Starlight Form
• Nova Form
• Ignite the Firestorm

Starlight Smite

"Stirring the light within, you strike with radiance at the abominations that would rend this world asunder."
When you hit a creature with a weapon or spell attack, you can expend one Starlight Point to deal Radiant damage to the target, in addition to the attacks original damage - the extra damage is 2d8. You may spend more Starlight to increase the damage by 1d8 for every point of Starlight spent, to a maximum of 5d8.
This damage increases by an additional 1d8 if the target is an Undead, Fiend, Outsider, or Aberration to a maximum of 6d8.
Your total number of Starlight is equal to your Wisdom Modifier + your Proficiency Bonus. You regain all spend Starlight when you finish a Long Rest.

Star Shard Weapon

"Each Starlight Paladin has a weapon unique to their crusade against The Entities that would end this world. What shape will yours take?"
Your Star Shard Weapon can take the form of any weapon of your choosing, dealing that weapons damage dice in Magical Slashing, Bludgeoning, Piercing, Radiant, or Fire damage. When rolling Damage for this weapon you may add your Strength or Dexterity Modifier AND your Charisma Modifier. In addition, your Star Shard Weapon has a Base Form and a Starlight Form, to enter its Starlight Form, see the Awaken Star Shard section below.

Starlight Form

As a Bonus Action, you may enter into your Starlight Form - Awakening your Starlight Weapon and manifesting your Starlight Armor.
To enter into this Starlight state, must spend a minimum of 1 Hit Dice. You may spend a number of Hit Dice up to your Proficiency Bonus to gain Temporary HP equal to the total number rolled on those dice - representing your Starlight Armor. As a part of this Awakening, your Starlight Weapon scales as a Cantrip with your current total character level - its damage becoming 2dX at 5th level, 3dX at 11th level, 4dX at 17th level, and 5dX at 20th level, where X = the normal damage die of the weapon. After entering into the Starlight Form, at the start of every turn, you gain Temporary HP equal to your Starlight Weapon's Awakened damage dice (replacing your current Temporary HP - whichever is higher)
After you enter the Starlight Form, at the start of your turn, you must continue to spend Hit Dice every turn to maintain this form. Once you have depleted your Hit Dice, you leave your Starlight Form and suffer 1 level of Exhaustion.

Nova Form

After you have entered into your Starlight Form, as a Free Action, you may choose to fail a Death Saves to enter into your Nova Form. At the start of your turn, you may choose to mark a failed Death Save, doing so grants you Advantage on all Weapon and Spell attack rolls as well as Advantage on Ability Saves and Checks for that duration of that round of combat. After failing Death Saves in this way and choosing to leave your Nova State, you suffer 2 levels of Exhaustion per each Death Save you have marked. You must also complete a Long Rest to regain each failed death save. During these Long Rests, you regain no Spell Slots and only recover 1 level of Exhaustion.

Ignite the Firestorm

You may choose to fail all 3 Death Saves. Upon marking the final 3rd Death Save, you will die at the end of your turn.
When you do, you explode as if the spell Delayed Blade Fireball were cast upon your body at 9th Level. Friendly targets caught within the blast instantly succeed the Spell Save, but may still suffer half damage.
