Posted May 3, 2021Putting aside the fact that having the ability to cast an 8th level spell for free is very strong, you should definitely reword this. As it currently reads, you gain the ability to cast an 8th level spell (something that is normally unlocked at level 15), at level 8. Consider rewording it as;
Prerequisite: Access to 3rd Level spells.
The sun's divine light shines upon you even in the darkest of places and shall continue to bless you as you grow stronger.
You learn the Daylight spell and can cast it once without expending a spell slot. You regain the ability to cast it in this way when you finish a long rest. Wisdom is your spellcasting ability for this spell.
Upon gaining access to 6th Level spells, and again with 8th Level spells, you gain the ability to use this feature to cast the Sunbeam and Sunburst spells in the same manor. You may still only cast a spell using this feat once per long rest.
I chose wisdom randomly, feel free to change it to whichever ability you feel fits best.
