The problem with inspiration is that each person can only have one at a time and the fact you have to declare using it before you make the initial role so it's often wasted if you get a good roll on the first try! This is how luck points will work. You can have up to 20 luck points that are awarded for good and fun roleplay. They can be used in one of 2 ways. You can use one luck point to increase or decrease any roll of the d20 by 1. (Attacks, saves, death saving throws, etc). You can use as many luck points as you have but only once per round. The second way is you can use it to raise or lower any roll made by your party, the enemy you're facing, OR even the DM themselves! When used this way, it takes 2 luck points for one point change. Any number of changes made will not be counted as critical hits or failures.
