Posted Feb 4, 2022Neat concept. However, telepathy is pretty dang strong in 5e . If you place some restrictions, you can add a few features that makes it feel like you actually got it from an aboleth.
For example, you can limit the effect to creatures who know a language, and ones that you are submersed with in a body of water, ie making it a speak with animals spell with a limitation to nearby aquatic creatures.
