This trait allows an impulsive player to take the part of a thoughtful character. You gain the following benefits:

  • Increase your Intelligence or Wisdom score by 1, to a maximum of 20.
  • When you start to do something that the GM feels is foolish, they may make a Common Sense check in secret. This check uses the ability increased by this feat, and the DC is set at the GM's discretion based upon your situation. If they succeed, the DM will ask "Are you sure about that?" or a similar statement warning of your folly.
  • You may request a Common Sense check to gain knowledge about the results of a specific course of action that you plan to take within the next 30 minutes. The DC is set at the GM's discretion based upon your request. On a success the GM offers a one word hint such as "yes," "no," "maybe," "never," "irrelevant," or "unclear." If a one-word answer would be misleading, the GM might instead offer a short phrase as an answer. On a failure you take psychic damage equal to your level.
