You are adept at using guns effectively.

  • If you roll a misfire on an attack with a firearm, you can use your reaction to roll a d20. If the number rolled is higher than the weapon’s misfire score, the firearm does not misfire. You cannot use this feature of this feat again until you complete a short or long rest.
  • When you use the Attack action and attack with a one-handed weapon, you can use a bonus action to attack with a loaded firearm with the light property you are holding.

Details:

Using eldritch blast or a comparable cantrip, you are inspired to create a unique form of firearm.  Not based off of this new volatile  "black powder" stuff, This weapon is based on good old-fashioned magic.  The Eldritch Gun (EG), acts as a modified spellcasting focus.  The spell flows through your hand to a rune on the grip.  the spell then is released through the barrel.

The EG is also different from other guns in that it can be fired without bullets, dealing the spell's base damage.  It was designed to fire bullets dealing an additional 1-d4 piercing damage to your spell.  At  level 7, this increases to 1-d6, and 1-d8 at level 15

Your EG can be modified by way of gunsmithing.  Upgrades allow for the addition of multiple barrels to accommodate cantrip alterations.

The Eldritch Gun must be crafted through a series of 12 tinkering checks over the course of 12 hours (if you are proficient in arcana), 24 hours if you are not.  The time may be spread out over any amount of time.  Success on a (DC 12 for pistol, 13 for pepperbox, 15 for a rifle) is needed on at least 9 checks.  The Enchantment required can be completed by most spellcasters.  Making a small, serpentine golden bar inscribed with runes, you find a place of peace, working a sensitivity to magic into this vital component.  Enchanting time takes 6 hours minus your Wisdom or Intelligence modifier (whichever is higher).

Ammunition can be crafted yourself provided you buy a bullet mold.  Silver/gold coins can be melted down for bullets at a rate of 1 Coin per pistol bullet, and 3 coins for rifle bullets.  Lead can also be purchased.  Silver bullets count as a silvered weapon

This Weapon deals Eldritch blast (firebolt or other similar spells may work as well) damage but is treated as a ranged weapon.
