Common sense

You have three common sense points. Once expended, these points are refreshed when you complete a long rest. If you do something that the DM considers to be a bad idea (defined as something with consequences the DM believes to be obvious or intrinsic to the situation, but which you have not considered) while you have common sense points remaining, the DM will tell you, taking one common sense point and allowing you a chance to reconsider your action.

You may spend a common sense point at any time to ask the DM for advice. The DM will tell you anything about the current situation you’re overlooking and suggest a course of action. This suggestion need not be (and is not likely to be) a detailed plan of action, but a starting point.
